PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Create an outstanding office with this monumental fine french Louis antique bureau plat writing desk. Crafted in France in late 1800s and rectangular in shape, the bureau plat stands on cabriole legs dressed with figural caryatid ormolu ladies at the shoulders and ending with bronze sabots covering the feet. The writing table top with the original black leather surface is embellished with gilt tooling and bronze capped edges over a serpentine front apron decorated with three frieze drawers on both sides dressed with bronze handles and escutcheons, and decorative florals motif on each side. On one side, the 3 drawers are dummies. The desk with Kingwood Marquette veneer is in remarkable condition. The key is present.
